The event will still take place in the Whipstick Forest
however this development means that the start area will be at the Ballan end of
the Whipstick Forest. To get there, head south from Ballan towards Meredith on
the Geelong – Ballan Road, and then turn right onto the Ballan – Egerton Road.
About three kms along this road is a bridge. From the bridge, just follow the
signs.
It also means that no-one will be able to camp at the Mount
Egerton Reserve. Unfortunately there are no camping facilities at the revised start
area. For those travelling some distance to attend, it might be a good idea to
seek accommodation in nearby Ballan or Ballarat.
We apologise for any inconvenience this might cause to
entrants.
On a positive note, Drakie is heading out to begin marking
the course this week. He is confident that the event will be something that
everyone will enjoy.
You will be able to enter on the day. Please try and
bring the correct change.
After a few hiccups getting this event to happen, what
